The house of deconstruction and distressed denim Pierre Balmain showcased their Spring/Summer 2014 collection which personified biker chic ‘Rock and Roll’ attitude which stems back to the age of rebellious punk. Strutting down the runway were models in Rocker stylised outfits from reinterpreted biker chic jackets, deconstructed long leather zips, sleeves large lapel structured formal jackets and sleeveless relaxed peacoat.
A favourite was an elongated leather jacket similar to a tuxedo design was the highlight of the avant garde denim presentation. The tough girl next door certainly would identify with the collection’s rugged yet feminine looks.
The punk attitude raged on for Menswear with tough denim pure white ensembles, blue washed out denim biker jackets and military inspired lightweight peacoats to boot.
The show transitioned to Pierre Balmain’s evening wear with luxurious charm of elegant Grecian gold silk gowns and figure hugging full lace dresses upped the ante.
