Jimmy Choo’s 15th Anniversary ICONS collection

Malaysian Fashion Designer Jimmy Choo rose to international fame- designing elegant stilettos for women.

Founded by Tamara Mellon in 1996, Jimmy Choo is a sought after luxury footwear brand well associated with celebrated celebrities. In the television series Sex and the City, Jimmy Choo was brought to fame when writer Carrie Bradshaw was seen to adore a pair of Jimmy Choo stilettos. Carrie Bradshaw launched the brand forward by wearing its inaugural 1998 shoe collection, which catapulted Jimmy Choo to its celebrity role.

Jimmy Choo shoes are hailed to be the iconic Red Carpet Shoes for Oscar nominees to grace the red carpet and win the Emmys. Celebrities with the likes of Sienna Miller, Leighton Meester, Sandra Bullock and Meryl Streep complete their elegant high fashion evening gowns with timeless Jimmy Choo stilettos.

Today, famous celebrities such as Reese Witherspoon and Kristen Stewart wear Jimmy Choo to their movie premieres and award ceremonies:

ICONS capsule collection of shoes– This special silhouette of shoes were carried forward to today with a capsule collection of the most significant and iconic creations of Jimmy Choo’s heritage.

In conjunction with Jimmy Choo’s 15th Anniversary , 10 out of 15 pairs of classic archival originals were reintepreted as new classics for the ICONS collection. For example, The Feather shoe featured in Sex and the City has been reconceived as a platform sandal in violet suede with hand applied peacock-blue feathers studded with crystals.

Jimmy Choo’s Charitable Foundation– Each shoe from the ICONS collection will be packaged in a special commemorative box that will include a card explaining the heritage of the item. Ten percent of the net sales of ICONS shoes will be donated to the Jimmy Choo Foundation.

Published by Rizzoli with a foreword by fashion journalist Colin McDowell and introduction by Tamara Mellon, JIMMY CHOO XV chronicles the 15 most memorable shoes from the company’s archives and reflects on what has made them hallmarks of the Jimmy Choo style and renown. The reader is taken on a visual tour through an anthology of these iconic Jimmy Choo creations.

100% of proceeds from the sale of Jimmy Choo XV Book will go to the Jimmy Choo’s foundation. In the later part of next year, the Coffee Table book will be sold in Kinokuniya bookstore for SGD$125.

The Jimmy Choo Foundation is a non-profit charitable trust that empowers women and others by helping them to lead healthier and safer lives. Recently it supported women in Africa affected by HIV and the Dyanmo Camp in Italy for children with cancer, the Cantor Fitzgerald Fund in New York, and more recently, the Japanese Red Cross Society .
