RAOUL- Cruise Collection 2012

Raoul’s cruise collection was a pleasant shift of perspective from Raoul’s formal office wear to casual luxury, it was inspired by the old hollywood charm of the sixties. The bow-tie appeared consistently throughout the collection on blouses in sheer material and leather. The summery colour Orange was played up with full fluorescent orange dresses. Supple buttery soft leather was the base material for jackets and dresses in fantastic colour hues such as light tint metallic gold, caramel brown and light grey.

Here are some items that caught my interest:

A gold tint leather jacket.

A tweed jacket perfect for a smart casual occasion.

A chic leather trimmed transparent jacket to look fabulous even when it rains.

Structured leather bags evoke the 60s with simplicity in design in shapes such as envelope bags and petite shoulder bags.

The men are not left out, a collection of well curated patterned shirts, knitted sweaters and a supple leather jacket were designed for the style conscious male.

For Raoul’s Press day, the media was given the opportunity to style entire outfits from Raoul’s Cruise collection.

Here are the styles I have created:

Retro glamour was the inspiration of this look, with a tulip printed tie bow blouse.

A full leather dress that has subtle highlights of contrast colour.

An Audrey Hepburn inspired look from the timeless movie “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”

The Cruise collection will be made available for sale in November 2011, do check it out at a Raoul boutique near you!
