Singapore has been listed as the 8th most fashionable capital in the world by Texas’s The Global Language Monitor, advancing Tokyo and hot on the heels of Barcelona, Hong Kong and Los Angeles. This could be attributed to the growing affluence of Singapore, which appreciates and demands for the finer quality things in life. The international and local media have created strong publicity for Singapore to be well positioned on the fashion map with an array of internationally recognised fashion events.

The first ever Women’s fashion week would commence with a Pret a Porter collection from 21st to 23rd October 2011, this event showcases selected fashion brands found in The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.
