Blueprint Singapore: Seoul’s 10 Soul: Runway Show and Cocktail Party at Ion Sky

This incredible cocktail party held at Ion Sky was hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Seoul Fashion Center. An impeccable party which encompasses a runway featuring 10 Korean designers, an amazing celebrity DJ spinning the decks, free flow of any drink you could think of including Korean rice wine, and incredibly good bites like Crab cake.

Korean television serials have escalated growth in the popularity of Korean fashion designs. Popular tv serials such as “Boys over flowers” feature modern cut western suits for men and amazing dresses for women, this drama pop-culture influence  has definitely pushed Korean fashion to a whole new level of global awareness.

Here comes the photos!

The runway show location

Wearable designs in the Mens wear department, aligned with current trends horizontal sailor striped tees, tailored shorts and cropped pants. The university jacket in blue with white outline highlights is a must have for a sartorial statement!

Colourful long dresses mixed with interesting prints in a silk material.

White and light blue linen look to be a hit in Singapore, as the material keeps a wearer cool yet chic in style, in the hot and bothered island!

A reinterpretation of the famous LBD (Little Black Dress) with new shoulder designs and fascinating white dresses with paint brush strokes and shimmers to give it an Asian vibe.

Bohemian chic printed dresses!

Traditional designs reworked with a modern twist, look to be an integral part of Korean fashion.

My favourite material, well washed denim is available in various shades and cuts! Very much practical and road trip worthy!

Interesting draped jackets and dresses in white with grey detailing.

Korean designers proudly showcasing their pieces on the models.

A unique colourful gem studded skull necklace, a sure conversation opener!

Models mingling with the fashion crowd.

Everything was impeccably put together, that is how a real rocking fashion party is formulated! I must say that the Koreans’ are well versed in putting together a good runway show!
