Massimo Dutti: Boys and Girls Autumn Winter 2011 Collection   2 comments

A turnout of around 250 invited guests, fashionistas and their kids attended the launch of Massimo Dutti Boys & Girls Collection in Singapore, the first in Asia.

The Liat Towers flagship store was transformed into a autumnal woodland, complete with broken tree branches, logs, and twigs, setting the mood for the delightful showcase of the Men’s, Women’s and the new Boys & Girls Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection.

The fashion show, produced by local renowned show producer, Daniel Boey, saw distinct themes of “college”, equestrian”, “country heritage” amongst others, marked by rich colours of red, orange, intense marine blue,  contrasted with a range of beiges, camels, olives and blues.

The new Boys & Girls Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection was a true translation from the adult clothing line. (Why should children be limited to wearing cartoon characters?) The children’s wear line was well aligned to the adult’s collection, embodying the Spanish label’s sartorial spirit with purity of quality materials (softest cashmere blend), and classic designs in a modern interpretation. Well curated layering was seen on the AW2011 runway looks with buttery soft leather jackets paired with high cut boots, a variety of comfortable jackets and coats, with highlights of bright orange pants or orange cashmere-soft cardigans.

I believe that fashion conscious parents would love to dress their children in their own image, their children would benefit from this early age experience to start developing their sartorial sensibilities. Dressing to look your best does come with life long experience!

The kids were strutting down the runway professionally, in a most adorable manner!

Check out the runway show right here:

The BOYS

My personal favourite for the boys: A well lined sweater with highlights of fluorescent colour.

A red check shirt to add to a spirit of delightful fun!

Grey sweaters are always a staple for Autumn winter!

A navy blue cable knit sweater! Simply endearing!

Nautical polo tee for that laid back vibe.

Love the bow tie to dress up the shirt and quilted sweater!

The blue sweater looks like a must have paired with the blue fingerless gloves!

The oversized bowtie! Trendy in Men’s wear!

I would love to have that olive colour quilted jacket for myself!

Massimo Dutti’s famously buttery soft leather jackets and soft scarves and sweaters,

all paired into this one look!

The GIRLS

A light cotton dress shirt with boots! A pleasant overall look.

Love this flowery dress in dark blue hues! A matching scarf to create an autumn dream design.

A cheerful orange cardigan paired with a frilly button down shirt!

A smashing party overall!

Love this whole prestigious polo club ensemble!

Be well equipped for the cold weather with a fur lined long coat!

One can never go wrong matching textures of brown with orange!

A well designed cable knit sweater with larger arm openings, sporting leather buttons.

The children paired for photoshoots at the door. The girl wears a shearling leather jacket!

The Adults AW2011

Men’s wear

Effortless chic could be achieved by mixing and matching Massimo Dutti’s sweaters, jackets and scarves.

Dapper pairing with an outer trench coat.

Jacket suit with an outstanding blue check tie.

A luxuriously soft sweater with an inner hoodie.

A must have Leather jacket for every man who likes the aviator look.

A jacket could be made versatile by making it smart casual chic with jeans.

Get all suited up and look fine and dandy wearing brogue shoes:

Women’s wear

Darker toned Summer-like colours were used for the Autumn winter toned down palette.

Long cable knit cardigans paired with a flowing skirt.

An autumn leaf shirt perfect to announce that season has arrived!

Short skirts are paired with leggings which gives a quirky and sexy expression.

Love the colour of the blue jacket! Gives a feel of warmth of Autumn.

A full equestrian ensemble for the lady who enjoys horse riding!

I found this huge lapel jacket to be very well layered with a light coloured shirt, a bow tie, and a fluorescent orange cardigan!

An interesting huge flap jacket paired a loud orange cardigan.

Whites were spotted on the runway for the ultimate elegant transition from Summer to Autumn!
