Blueprint Emporium collections Singapore: Asia’s Fashion Trade Gateway Runway shows 2011

I was excited to attend Blueprint buyers trade event to have a review of what is install for Singapore and overseas buyers or investors of fashion.

Here are the runway shows:

MAX TAN

The runway show starts with a horror film depicted on the projections which intrigues viewers with anticipation of what is to come. Minimalism seems to be the key ideas for this design collection, with loose yet interesting shapes embodying the figure. Geometric prints are used generously to create a new body silhouette. The skeleton umbrellas are definitely an interesting head turner on the runway.

Revasseur

The brand label Revasseur translates from French to be a daydreamer, the label is observed to use playful whimsical prints

that are in a pleasant sweet-like colour theme of pinks and blues. The drop crotch pants featured are detailed with pleats on both legs. The playful interpretation with a myriad of colours and shapes for the shoes collection seem to be a must-buy from this brand.

Depression 

Depression is a label which is created for the open minded customer, with an objective to create wearable art. The designers reflect in their collection the creation of innovative new designs.

In the Menswear department, interesting top vests reminiscent of English top jackets in a modern cut,

with drop crotch three quarter pants give a fresh look to the new age man.

In  the Womenswear department, pleated skirts and figure hugging dresses in black and white pronounces a ladies’

shapely figure.

Noel Caleb

Noel Caleb’s collection focuses on the usage of bold colours to differentiate itself from the norms of conservative whites.

Utilitarian chic is at its finest, with the use of soft and reflective cotton sateen for its well tailored jackets and skirts. Noel Caleb’s aim is to allow a customer to mix and match pieces easily to create new looks for a casual to formal day out.

Farah Khan

Farah Khan’s collection is stunning with embodying the usage of hand sewn sequins through out an entire

dress which may take three weeks for a single dress. The dresses are figure flattering with interesting geometric

curves mostly in a variety of golden loud colours as the light catches on the sequins the dresses glitter and dazzle,

creating a head turner piece. Dresses are absolutely gorgeous!

Farah Khan: The colour block design collection in loud colours and great drapery makes it an everyday must have.
